Writing (K-12)

At its core, effective writing is needed to properly capture your knowledge, thoughts, and emotions on paper or screen. Social media and text messaging makes it easy to use shorthand or coded language when we communicate. The frequency of its use can negatively impact a student's ability to meet the requirements of academic or professional writing which is extremely useful in a range of fields and situations.

The Significance of Writing

Effective writing is often overlooked as a skill despite it being featured in virtually every class a student takes. Science projects, essays about historical events / figures, book reports, and short answers on tests are the most obvious examples. The difference between earning a 90 or a 70 on an assignment may come down to things like choosing the proper words to accurately convey your thoughts or putting your words in the most effective order. Our Educational Specialists will work to not only expand your vocabulary but also help use words in the most powerful ways possible.

Expanded Benefits

Writing effectively can do more than help you earn better grades. Colleges may use entrance essays to determine who will receive official letters of acceptance. Students who may not meet the academic standard set by a particular college / university can earn conditional acceptance by writing a letter that shows their commitment and passion. Employers often use the quality of cover letters to determine who they will both interview and potentially hire for jobs. Convincing someone to invest in you or your business may come down to the quality of your email to them. Possessing effective writing skills can open up fantastic opportunities to more experiences, more opportunities, and more income.
